JEFFERSON CITY, MO.  — Feeding Missouri recently announced a transition in board leadership, welcoming Lindsay Young Lopez as Board President as the organization continues its statewide, collaborative work to strengthen hunger relief across Missouri.

Lopez serves as President and CEO of The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri, where she leads efforts to distribute the equivalent of 21 million meals annually, reaching more than 100,000 people each month across 32 counties through partnerships with more than 145 agencies and 200 schools. She has served on the Feeding Missouri Board and brings nearly three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and advancement.

“Feeding Missouri’s strength has always come from its ability to work collectively—across regions, food banks, and communities—to support neighbors facing hunger,” said Leigh Anne Haun, Executive Director of Feeding Missouri. “Lindsay brings a deep understanding of both local food bank operations and the importance of statewide coordination. Her leadership reflects the shared mindset and collaboration that make this network so effective.”

As part of the transition, Joey Keys, CEO of the Southeast Missouri Food Bank, concludes his term as Board President and will continue to serve on the Feeding Missouri Board as Secretary, ensuring continuity and institutional knowledge.

“Joey’s leadership helped strengthen our statewide partnerships and reinforce the value of collaboration during a time of increasing need,” Haun said. “We’re grateful that he will continue serving in a leadership role and contributing his perspective as we move forward together.”

Lopez expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve in this new role.

“I’m honored to step into this position and to continue working alongside food bank leaders from across the state,” said Lindsay Young Lopez. “Feeding Missouri’s impact is rooted in collective action—aligning regional expertise with a shared commitment to ensuring every Missourian has access to the food they need to thrive. I’m grateful for Joey’s leadership and look forward to building on that foundation together.”
